SSSAD Salons focus on urgent topics locating Asians in anti-racist design including: abolitionist futures and public safety in our cultural centers, our position as refugee and immigrant communities in cultural reparations and land rematriation, unlearning the scarcity mindset, and addressing the anti-Black legacy of the model minority myth in our discipline.

These convenings aim to bring together a multitude of voices to explore the role of a collective, uniquely Asian American imagination in creating radically inclusive, anti-racist design practices.
